There are significant challenges in transitioning children aging out of the child welfare system. This workshop will provide an overview of a non-residential case management model for transitioning children to independence that has been implemented and used for over 15 years in multiple countries. This workshop will share the model structure, implementation, and outcomes. Participants will hear from staff on the ground in various countries, as well as from young adults who have transitioned to independence - and will be given access to tools to assist in program development.
